| Ju no Kata (柔の形 Jū-no-kata, “types of meekness”) is a kata (a collection of prearranged kinds) in Judo. It is created to teach the basic concepts of judo, particularly the principle of ju (yielding or gentleness). It consists in 3 sets of strategies and is carried out by a set of people one functioning as an Uke and the various other a Tori. The kata can be performed without putting on a judogi and, as it does not involve the conclusion of any kind of throws, does not require to be carried out in a dojo.
